I had class today w/this sociologist/Marxist rock star Manuel Castells who’s guest lecturing at MIT for 4 classes. Spanish prof now at Berkeley; witty, brilliant. Offers fabulous soundbites of key points as only an ESL speaker can. In summarizing how feminism has been around forever in history, he tells us, “Remember the witches.” I love it. I think it’s my new screensaver.
